Drink Fresh, Drink Local: Festive Drinks for the Holiday Season
If you're planning your holiday party menus, think local when it comes to festive beverages! Below are two recipes that incorporate local products into tasty cocktails that are great for celebrations. Both are also available at Harrison's this month (our Ginger Margarita is available year round).
Harrison's Award-Winning Signature Cocktail
2 oz Hornitos Reposado Tequila
1 oz Triple Sec
1.5 oz Tait Farm Ginger Shrub
1 oz Rose's Sweetened Lime Juice
To make the ginger salt, mix 1.5 teaspoons of powdered ginger with 6 tablespoons of sea salt. Rim stemless martini glass with ginger salt and fill with ice. Shake up and pour in the remaining ingredients. Garnish with a lime wedge. (note: the ginger salt is key to the flavor!)
The Sage Fruit
1.5 oz Big Spring Spirits vodka
0.5 oz Art in the Age Sage liquor
0.75 oz simple syrup
1.5 oz pomegranate juice
Juice of half a lemon
Combine ingredients and shake. Serve straight up in a stemless martini glass. Garnish with a floating sage leaf.
