We were delighted by the enthusiastic participation of so many of you with our feature wine tastings in March that we decided to continue the tradition this month with some of our French wines. Our French wine purveyor, Vivino Selections, will be visiting us two times this month to offer guided tastings. Rendezvous in the lobby area just outside the dining room entrance on either of the dates above for a free tasting. As before, we recommend reserving your table for 30 minutes after your tasting in case many of you show up!
Here's a sneak peek at some of our French wine features for April:
Louis Jadot Mâcon-Villages Chardonnay
Dry, medium body; well balanced and lively on the palate with refreshing acidity; flavors of pear, apple, and citrus fruit, with notes of mineral and nut on the finish.
Chateau Lamothe Bordeaux Blanc
Floral and fruit aromas, with a suggestion of grapefruit and other citrus fruits. Round and fresh with notes of pear, mango, and citrus. Crisp, long finish.
Chateau Lamothe Bordeaux Rouge
Freshness and cherry notes characterize this wine. Well-balanced with fruit, acidity and elegant tannins. Final but lively finish.
Raoul Clerget Côtes du Rhône
Lighter bodied wine but not thin. Sour cherry and plum notes with a bit of pepper and spice and a smooth, long finish.
Enjoy any of these wines by the glass, bottle or flight!
