Rustic Italian Returns on January 30
Beginning January 30th and running through February, Rustic Italian is back again with all of its simple and delicious Old-World Italian flavors. Plan to join us this month for the return of some customer favorites: Parmesan Encrusted Veal, Lemon and Artichoke Pappardelle, Seared Scallops with Truffle Pâté and Whipped Potatoes, Veal & Beef Tortellaci, Tiramisu... You can pick one of the featured dishes to go along with any meal, bring friends and share some Tuscan-style small plates over an Italian Wine Flight, or try the full, four-course Tasting Menu with or without an Italian wine pairing. Delizioso!
Our Rustic Italian Menu will be available in addition to our full lunch and dinner menus beginning tomorrow, Friday, 1/30 at 5pm, and will continue throughout February.
Deliziosi Vini: Rustic Italian Wines
Our Italian wine features this month will take you on a journey through Italy, with stops from the tip top (Veneto) to the very bottom (Sicily) of this wine-loving country.
Among our featured wines, Tutela Amarone della Valpolicella--a returning favorite from last August's Isle of Capri menu--is a definite must-try with its rich, intense flavors (which comes from being produced from sun-dried grapes) and velvet smooth feel. Try it by the glass (it's superb with dessert), or as part of our featured Italian wine flight. In addition to featured wines by the glass, we offer Prosecco and some Rustic Reds by the bottle. We have many perfect wines to complement your meal; so, raise a glass and say, Salute!
By the Glass or Bottle
A Casa Greco di Tufo, Campagnia
Flavors of pears and blooming white flowers, soft mouthfeel.
Castellucci Miano Nero d'Avola, Sicily
Dark cherries, wild raspberries, and juicy plums, with hints of baking spices.
L'Arco Rosso del Veronesse, Veneto
Dark cherries with hints of lavender and tobacco. Gripping tannins and a lengthy finish.
Tutela Amarone della Valpolicella, Veneto
Intensely flavored, delicate bouquet, and dry warm taste. Velvety mouthfeel with hints of bitter almond. One of Veneto's most prestigious wines.
By the Bottle
Mionetto Prosecco NV, Veneto
A minerally nose leads to dry lemon peel character on the palate. Very dry, with a tight fizz and crisp finish. Available in demi and full bottles.
Terre Primitivo, Sicily
Subtle elements of oak, earth, herbs, and black pepper accompany generous raspberry and blackberry elements.
Di Majo Norante Sangiovese, Molise
The premiere grape of Italy with aromas of woodland berries, violets, and sweet spices.
Allegrini Valpolicella Classico, Veneto
A youthful, medium-bodies blend with luscious aromas of cherry, herbs, chocolate and mocha.
What goes better with the rustic flavors of Italy than a little vino? Mangiare bene! Bere bene!
With Valentine's Day falling on a Saturday this year, you can celebrate all weekend! We're already starting to fill up, so we recommend making a reservation soon.
In addition to our Rustic Italian features (which are perfect for a romantic meal), we will also be serving a Valentine's seafood feature. So come in and enjoy a Prosecco toast and a romantic meal with your special valentine.
If you like to avoid the holiday crowds, here are some suggestions: give your valentine a gift card and come on a later date, come for Valentine's Day luncheon, or call for a Sunday reservation
