December Features: Around the World for the Holidays
Celebrate this special season with some special globally-inspired dishes at Harrison’s this month. We’ve taken culinary cues from around the world to create a menu that helps you celebrate in global fashion. Some destinations in store for you: Travel to England with our Beef Wellington Deconstructed made with local beef, rich mushroom duxelle, and buttery puff pastry; take a trip to Peru with our cornmeal-encrusted Red Snapper sautéed with tomato, red onion, avocado, jalapeno, cilantro, and pisco; or jet-set to France with our delicate chicken breast in a rich Cherry-Port Wine sauce.
Our Around the World feature menu begins on Thursday, December 3 at 5pm. The starters will be available all day, and the entrees will be available daily after 4:30pm in addition to our full dinner menu.
Wedding Engagement Season Has Begun!
Engagement season starts on Thanksgiving and ends on Valentine's Day, and marks the time of year when most couples get engaged. If you or anyone you know is expecting a proposal or perhaps preparing to "pop the question", we hope you will keep Harrison's Catering in mind. To assist the internet research that invariably follows, we have just launched a new wedding page on our website. There, wedding couples will be able to consider menu styles, access helpful resources and understand our welcoming attitude towards all celebrations. We cater to many local and outdoorsy venues, from General Potter Farm to McCann School of Art to Seven Mountains Winery to farms to backyard tent weddings and more. Harrison's wedding catering is deliciously upscale yet casual, with helpful and reliable service -- perfect for creating a personalized and special event.

Holidays should be all about indulgence and easy-going celebration, and this month we’re featuring some wines from Cupcake Vineyards that we think reflect that spirit perfectly. Cupcake Vineyards has recently become the biggest retail wine seller in the United States, a title that belonged to Kendall Jackson for a long time. With a wide selection of varietals and blends, they have something to offer everyone, and they excel at creating approachable wines perfect for every day celebrations.
We have chosen three of their signature blends that are delightfully easy-drinking and embrace the playful and indulgent attitude of the holiday season. We have chosen their blends rather than their single-varietal wines, not only because we think they best showcase Cupcake Vineyard’s strengths, but also because blends are fun, and holidays should be fun! Blends have seen an enormous rise in popularity in recent years, largely because they can produce immensely drinkable and delicious wines, taking the best of all the varietals to produce the intended effect.
Don’t let the names fool you—not all of them are sweet, although all of them are great celebration wines! Enjoy these delectable wines by the glass, bottle, or as part of a special feature flight all December.
Cupcake Angel Food White Blend 6./29.
A luscious, aromatic blend with Chardonnay as the base, this wine is on the sweet side and might appeal to those who enjoy Rieslings or Moscatos. Delightful flavors of Granny Smith apple with hints of toasty vanilla and caramel lead to a long, creamy finish.
Cupcake Red Velvet Blend 6./29.
A deliciously rich and fruit-forward blend of Zinfandel, Merlot, and Petite Sirah that is smooth as velvet on the palate. Ripe, jammy strawberry, blueberry compote, hints of chocolate, and silky tannins make this blend a pleasure to drink.
Cupcake Black Forest Decadent Red Blend 6./29.
A dark, decadent blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Petite Verdot and Petite Sirah. A dark berry nose with subtle floral notes, luscious mouthfeel with oodles of ripe, dark fruit, a slight spiciness, and round tannins. Powerful but elegant blend.
