July: Day Boat Scallops
Our summer seafood features continue this month with always-popular fresh Atlantic Day Boat Scallops! The term "day boat" scallops refers to the boats that fish for scallops just for the day, rather than undergoing the traditional multi-day treks boats often make before returning to harbor with their bounty. The faster they get them to shore, the faster buyers can get them to restaurants, and the faster you can be enjoying these super fresh, tender sea scallops.
Enjoy them six ways this month, from Seared Scallop Salad with tender greens, shaved parmesan, candied pecans and a blood orange vinaigrette, to Scallops Meuniere, with a classic browned butter and lemon sauce. See our July menu for all of our delicious preparations!
Our Day Boat Scallop features will be offered daily after 4:30pm, in addition to our full dinner menu. Come in and try them along with our very fresh, very local produce offerings and summer wine features!
Summer Herb Cocktails Return
Our herb garden is in full production right now, which means we can bring you delightful summer cocktails inspired by fresh-from-the-garden tastes! We are happy to bring back two of our summer cocktails that feature local and PA ingredients for your drinking pleasure:
Featuring PA-made Dad's Hat Rye Whiskey combined with
Tait Farm lemon shrub, fresh lemon juice and muddled mint.
A perfect summer sipper.
The Big Spring Sparkler
Big Spring Vodka, Tait Farm Orange Shrub, fresh lemon juice,
seltzer, and sage from our own garden come together to make
a light, citrusy, slightly herbal, and very local libation.
