Over the past year, we've been busy hosting business meetings, retreats, weddings, and many other celebrations at our Harrison's-owned venue, Above the Valley Event Center. Last month, we had the opportunity to host an event for the Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County (CBICC). We opened all 14,000 square feet of event space for an evening of activities and delicious foods and beverages on all three levels overlooking the amazing and iconic view. It was a great party, and we have the photos (and video) to prove it!

Spring/Summer Menu Forecast: New Menu Today!
With spring blooms here and summer right around the corner in State College, we’re getting ready for warm weather in the Harrison’s kitchen. This summer we’re forecasting some delicious feature menus as well as some tasty seasonal changes to our Lunch and Dinner Menus!
Our Spring/Summer restaurant menus begin today, with some new summer-light seafood selections like Salmon with Pineapple-Habanero Salsa, Sancerre Poached Scallops, and Moroccan-Spice Tuna.
Other summery dishes that are inspired by warmer climates include Shawarma Chicken served with chargrilled vegetables, Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Tait Farm’s Mango-Habanero mustard and J & J Farm bacon crumbles, or our Chorizo & Black Bean Tostadas topped with cilantro-lime crème fraiche. Local produce is just starting to appear from our nearby farms and local vegetable and local salads are also forecasted (weather permitting).
Of course, we also have a summer full of feature menus that will take advantage of warm weather produce and seasonal seafood as well. Check out the summer menu line up from last year on our website (we update these just before they launch so we have all the freshest seasonal items included), including Soft-Shell and Lump Crab Features in June, Day Boat Scallops in July, and Summertime Italian in August.

While we’re already thinking about summer, Spring’s not over yet, and you can enjoy our delicious Paris in the Springtime features into the first week of May. Folks have been raving about the menu, and two favorites are the Coquilles St. Jacques and Poisson en Papillote. Don’t miss out on these French culinary treats!
