August Feature Menu: Italian Summer on the Isle of Capri
This month's feature menu is inspired by the isle of Capri, located off the southwest coast of Italy. This tiny island has been a popular vacation and culinary destination since Roman times, and is even where Emperor Tiberius chose to retire from his political career in 27 AD. While the island may be small in size, its capacity for culinary inspiration knows no bounds. From the bustling central Piazzetta with its overflowing fresh produce stands and al fresco cafes, to the amazing coastal views of craggy rocks and sapphire blue waters where fresh seafood abounds, Capri is a perfect summertime culinary muse.
Harrison's light, summery August features bring together fresh, local produce, coastal seafood, and classic Italian flavors. Fabulous and fresh local garlic, basil, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, zucchini and more are all showcased in recipes from the breathtaking isle of Capri. The well-known Caprese Salad is only the beginning: Panzanella Salad with loads of fresh grilled veggies and bread, deep fried risotto balls stuffed with fresh mozzarella, sea bass cooked in salt water ("acqua pazza") with fresh tomato, garlic, and lemon broth...and so many more delightful dishes. Enjoy a small plate or two, or have the full three-course experience with Italian wine pairings. Check out the full menu below!
