June's Soft-Shell & Lump Crab Features
It's once again the glorious time of year when the Atlantic blue crab sheds its hard shell and becomes the entirely edible culinary darling we recognize as the soft-shell crab. Slightly briny but still with the characteristic sweetness of lump crab, the soft-shell crab is an early summer seasonal delicacy. At Harrison's this month, we will be offering it to you in three different ways - see our menu below for details.
While we know that those of us who love soft-shell crab love them unconditionally, we also recognize that they are not to everyone's tastes. For those of you who prefer to enjoy lump crab meat, we are also featuring two additional crab dishes: Lump Crab Crepes in a rich Mornay sauce, as well as Ravioli "Oscar." And for the Lump Crab Cake purists, we always have our delicious Maryland-style Crab Cakes available.
This month we hope you'll join us for our first celebration of seasonal seafood specials! Our Soft-Shell Crab and Lump Crab specials will be featured after 4:30pm each day throughout June as availability allows, in addition to our full Lunch and Dinner menus. (Occasionally we have sold out of soft-shell crabs in the past, so if you know you'll be joining us for them, we encourage you to call ahead and "reserve" them.)
